Véronique Couturier began studying the harp at 8 years old under Lucie Gascon’s tuition. Three years later, she entered the Montreal Academy of Music, where she was instructed by Dorothy W. Masella and subsequently by Manon Le Comte (National Arts Centre in Ottawa). At the same time, she also received private lessons from the harpist Marie-Josée Laprise.
In 2001, she received her Higher Education degree (I and II) in harp interpretation, from this academy. That same year, she took part in the summer tour undertaken by the Orchestre de la Francophonie Canadienne (OFC).
On several occasions, Véronique has been an award winner at the ARAM (Regional Association for the Advancement of Music) music contest, performing in the chamber music and soloist categories. She now provides private harp lessons and is regularly asked to play at marriages, private receptions, corporate events, as well as performing with orchestras.
