Professional harpist

Montreal, Quebec | Français | My Facebook page

Welcome to my website! Here you will find informations about the harp and my musical services as well as the musician I have the pleasure to work with since many years.

Before inviting you to take a tour, I would like to introduce myself. I am a professional harpist, graduated from the Academy of Music. I have more than 20 years of experience playing the harp and I would be delighted to share this wealth of experience with you.

For an unforgettable reception, have you ever thought about the harp? My specialty is background music. I play the harp for all kinds of events and my musical touch will add that little extra spice to your celebrations. You also have the opportunity to listen to a charming flute and harp duet for even more enchantement.

I am located in Montreal and I can travel with my grand pedals harps in the following regions: Ottawa, Québec, Eastern townships, Outaouais, Laurentians and all other Quebec and Ontario regions.

I hope you enjoy your visit of my website and don't hesitate to contact me if any of these services are of interest to you or if you would like to share your comments and ideas.

See you soon!

Véronique Couturier began studying the harp at 8 years old under Lucie Gascon's tuition. Three years later, she entered the Montreal Academy of Music, where she was instructed by Dorothy W. Masella and subsequently by Manon Le Comte (National Arts Centre in Ottawa). At the same time, she also received private lessons from the harpist Marie-Josée Laprise.

In 2001, she received her Higher Education degree (I and II) in harp interpretation, from this academy. That same year, she took part in the summer tour undertaken by the Orchestre de la Francophonie Canadienne (OFC).

On several occasions, Véronique has been an award winner at the ARAM (Regional Association for the Advancement of Music) music contest, performing in the chamber music and soloist categories. She now provides private harp lessons and is regularly asked to play at marriages, private receptions, corporate events, as well as performing with orchestras.

The magnificent works of Claude Debussy "Sacred and profane dances" marked the end of her graduate studies in interpretation of the harp. They are presented to you in video below on this page, at a concert of the ARAM where she was invited as a solo harpist.
